We are in search of an experienced Electronics Engineer to lead the design process of internal R&D electronics-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in building prototypes and MVP hardware products as a full-stack hardware engineer. This role sits inside that R&D team and will own full-stack electronics workstreams from exploratory research and PoC to functional prototypes and engineering handoff for industrialization.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Ownership of the development of electronics: end-to-end ownership of schematic capture, PCB design, BOM management, component lifecycle considerations, revision control and validation for R&D projects

• Conducting low-level firmware bring-ups, deliverables such as board bring-up logs, BSP/driver implementations, test scripts, debug reports and documented resolution of HW/FW integration issues

•  Research & Feasibility Reports: architecture options, risks, cost/effort estimates and clear recommendations for whether and how to proceed

•  Initial Industrialization BOM and draft manufacturing documentation: component selection, sourcing notes, and draft assembly/production instructions to enable early sourcing and cost modelling 

• Engineering handoff package for delivery/industrialization teams: system architecture summary, key technical decisions, integration and test notes, known limitations and guidance for future iterations

• Researching new technologies applicable to our industry: targeted technology scouting and evaluation reports (maturity, integration feasibility, recommended PoC approach) for sensors, power architectures, connectivity and other relevant domains.

What you’ll bring to the table: 

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering (or a related field)

• 3+ years of experience in PCB layout and hardware development of embedded electronics products

• Proficient with Altium, KiCad or equivalent

• Experience in simulating electrical subsystems and circuits using LTSpice or similar tools

• Skilled in PCB layout and stack-up definition

• Experience with PCB circuit design using FPGAs and microprocessors

• Firmware bring-up of hardware: hands-on experience bringing up new boards and diagnosing HW/FW integration issues

• Familiarity with RTOS and embedded Linux

• Experience with vibe coding in real productized products

• Proven experience building prototypes and full MVP products, including selecting components, creating prototype BOMs, and supporting early production.
  

It would be great if you would also have:

• Experience with displays, camera modules, SoM/SoC and PMICs

• Knowledge in high-speed signaling (DisplayPort, CSI, MIPI, Ethernet, PCIe, HDMI, USB, etc.). - Experience in RF design and radio systems

• Experience in power electronics — DC/DC converters and board-level power supplies

• Experience with product certification procedures (EMC/EMI, CE, LVD, RoHS, REACH)

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.

• Experience using Git & engineering workflow (branching strategies, PRs/code reviews, CI integration).
